The Food Pyramid does the opposite. It matches the person to the food. The Pyramid says everyone should eat less fat and more grain. As we have seen this is not a prescription for health for everyone. For example, if you are overweight you should eat less grain. If you are underweight or engaged in strenuous muscle-building exercise, a high grain diet would make sense. But for an overweight person with pre-diabetic symptoms, a high grain diet is perhaps the worst possible choice.
